Even if the price of petrol should be free in Thailand it is basically controlled by the government. The price of oil went down 10 % last week but in Thailand the price was only down 1.4 %. The new government that has a very popular politics will surely make some effort to take the price down. The last PM used the oil fund to “pay off†voter to be happy.
The oil fund should be just in emergency and the military government has filled the found once again. Now PPP can use it to pay of its supporting voters.
The former PM of Thailand also gave away free toll ways and other things so people would forget he was reaping the country clean. With a new puppet government will the ousted PM run things from the shadows?
