What English News Can You Trust in Thailand?

If you living in Thailand and are at all interested in the country and not only here for the good food and spicy women then you might realize that it is very difficult to get fair and balanced news.

I just saw that the Thaivisa.com forum is taking its news from ASTV and that the channel of the Yellow shirts. You cannot even believe on thing what they are saying at this moment since they are the worse enemies of the Red Shirts. I do not know why Thaivisa.com even presents them as news; they might be under the gossip Colum today.

The Red Shirts have their own channel off course and you cannot believe what they are saying either. The Nation Multimedia is known for favor the old guard in Thailand and I am not really sure where the Bangkok post is located on the colored map, when Thaksin was in power I think his lawyers bought a piece of them.

Thaivisa.com is allied with the Nation Multimedia and Phuket Gazette in Phuket.

I think for the moment you can try different twitters from all of the media outlets and also keep a close watch on BBC internet version.

Last April BBC reports were in the middle of the riots and reported real bullets were fired into the crowd of Red Shirts but the Thai government has always denied this.

But whatever you do not participate in any demonstrations, stay safe and stay home.
