Buy a visa run from Pattaya to Cambodia
I took a so called visa run to Cambodia from Pattaya the other day. I was recommended by a friend to try the Key visa service for 2100 THB.
I went to their office two days before departure and got a proper bill and a copy of my passport that I was suppose to have when enter Thailand again.
I was asked if I could come to the office or if would like to be picked up at home, I did not want to go to the office six in the morning so I gave them my address.
The night before one of the girls called me from the office making sure I had photos and passport ready and that the driver should pick me up at 06.00.

The next morning the driver from the van of the visa company called me and asked me where I lived and I told him and he was there 10 min later precisely at 06.00.
A bit disappointed that we then drove around in Pattaya to pick up the rest of the group and did not leave Pattaya until 07.00.
The van was fairly spacious, the air con was working, and every seat could be folded down (a bit too much).
We had one 20 min stop and people that wanted to smoke and go toilet could do that, the other vans that came from Pattaya also stopped so suddenly we had 40 visa runners in the same petrol station.
At lunch time we reached the Thai border and the driver had already filled in the document for us so it was just go to the counter and it was cleared in less than 10 min. We then signed the Cambodia visa application and the driver showed us the lunch place. He also told us how much cigarettes and liquor we could buy each.
The lunch was nothing to write home about but it’s the best place to spend the time since there is nothing else to see except a bunch of beggars and gambling Thais.
After 30 min we headed back the 100 meters to the borders and people could buy their merchandise.
The documents had already been filled in so it was just another signature and go to the Thai immigration and get an entry stamp and another 15 or 90 days.
We lost one guy he wanted to stay on the Cambodia for another few days (don’t ask me why it’s just beggar, bad food and ugly casinos).
We got complementary water and a cold towel and it was back in the buss and another pit stop.
The van dropped me off at 15.20 but it could be different for others since I was one of the first one to be sent home.
Conclusion
The visa run to Cambodia from Pattaya by key visa is very organized you don’t have to do anything you can just follow the group and you be just fine. In my group most passengers were ready for departure so no waiting and the whole visa trip was just smooth as silk.
To think about
If someone in your group asks you to carry something over the border make sure you check what you carry. If the driver doesn’t tell you how much you can take ask him before you go inside Thailand. Hold the merchandise for your friend well over the border they do flying pit stops and then you can be in trouble.
The address you give Key visa for the Cambodian border run from Pattaya is the address they will use on the VISA application. Maybe you don’t live there so give the driver the right address before crossing the Cambodia border.
Be on time for the pickup and show respect to your fellow passengers by taking a shower before stepping on the van.
If you want stay in Cambodia don’t forget to tell the driver since they will do the Cambodia immigration for you. They will stamp you in and out from Cambodia when you eat lunch and you only need entry stamp not out.
