Two rottweilers dogs killed a 20 month old girl in Thailand. The dogs belonged to a Dutchman that was back in Holland on business.
The Dutchman was the father of the girl and will be back to Thailand to attend the funeral. Police have taken the dogs away to see if they can be trained as police dogs but from my point of view they should be put to death. I love rottweilers but when they kill babies they should not be kept alive.
There was a ban on import rottweilers to Thailand but the ban is now lifted, but I do not really see the point to put it back. Imported or not imported it is up to the owner to take care of his dogs. A ban on importing dogs will just lead to in breeding and the Thai government should instead create a real register of dogs like many western countries.
You do not leave two rottweilers with a toddlers and not so knowing Thai people to handle them. I am deeply sorry for his lose of his daughter.
