Travel warning for Phuket in July

Travel warning for Phuket in July

If you planning to visit the south Thai island of Phuket from 10-24 July then don’t. The Thai government has taken strong measures to avoid a red shirt chaos like the one that happen in Pattaya.

From the 16-23 July many heads of state and also Hillary Clinton will come to Phuket for the Asian meeting.

The security, the traffic, the airport, the immigration counter at the airport will be chock blocked with people and the hotels will probably see it as a chance to beef up the prices.

Do not get me wrong I really hope the Phuket will become the pearl it once was but with all the extra pricing, a not so smooth police force and bad publicity Phuket have never really recovered from the Tsunami.

There is also a chance that the Muslim guerrilla wants to show off their strength even if they never done it before outside the Muslim dominated provinces.
