American tourist and others that are using U.S dollars to travel to Thailand are loosing big time since last year when they got 42 THB for 1 $. The THB is now in 35 THB for 1 $ and that’s the highest for 9 years and only this year its gone up 14 %.
Many exporters are crying to the government and the central bank to do something about the situation because they get in a unfair deal when competing with China. But the Central Bank has so far given the cold hand.
The Thai currency starting to climb rapidly this year when the now ousted Premier sold his shares (or his children did because he never owned anything or so he said) of AIS and Shin Corp.
