Now the EC in Thailand voted to dissolve the Democratic Party if found guilty they will be gone for politics for 5 years. This does not mean that they Thai PM have to step down because it have to go to court first and that can take longer than nine month for sure.
The former PM that had problem with the Yellow Shirts also had to step down because of a court ruling, he had worked on a TV show cooking food. The ruling also came in connection with airport take over by the Yellow Shirts.
In find it very strange that the EC now suddenly speed the ruling in the middle of Songkran festival when no one actually works. Why did the EC waited too long and did someone push them to wait or to speed things up? According to the BBC the Thai army also called for the Thai PM to step down and make way for new elections just before the EC came out.
Now nobody knows really, what is going to happen and if the Red Shirt will go home and the Democrats will call for a new election in Thailand?
