The so called “Elite Card†in Thailand is facing another problem since the new government does not want to pay the bill for the losses that never seem to end. The “Elite Card†was a brainchild from the former PM and was hopped to bring in a minimum of 1 million members but so far 2000 members have paid the membership fees. The card does give a range of advantages like visa and shopping privileges. The government would like to scrap the card but it would not look for the already 2000 now paid members.
