According to Thai Visa some internet websites was blocked in Thailand this week. The following websites was according to the Thai Visa forum blocked

This off course prompted half of Thailand to go check these websites out and probably caused the website to slow down from Thailand.
Then after people calmed down and starting to surf normally nobody could find any trace of any block expect the moderators on the Thai Visa forums they insisted there was a block.
Thailand have also supposedly got a faster internet connection, that is Thailand has got it but not the users. For more information about that you can visit http://www.asia-america-gateway.com/
On a more serious note the Thai Immigration website in Thailand have viruses and should not be clicked on. If you ask Google and Firefox why it is a big warning for this website you will get this answer.
