Thai people do not think much about security more then that there is bars in the windows. Most of the time the door is the weakest point or the lock. Something like Bump Key Proof Lock does not even exist in the shops in Thailand. Most people buy the round lock that you can see all thieves open with a credit card in old American movies.
I think it is even worse with Alarm in Thailand I think have not been in one house with fire alarm or a simple heat detector alarm. Most people trust the old sleeping security guard with no education at all. At least people know better not to leave the house alone if they travel and always have some one take care of the house when they leave.
You can rent a police that will come and check every day in front of your house but they just check the block and leave they do not really check anything so it is not worth the extra money. You better off spending the money on a dog to have in the garden.
Ohh yes if you dogs are dying one by one in your house then you know that some one for sure is coming to try to do a break in the house. That’s how they do it in Thailand they kill the dogs first then they break in. If you do not like dogs a duck is the second of choice because it makes a hell of a novice if someone come near.
