Saraburi Province in Thailand home of the sacred footprint

Saraburi is one of the familiar provinces of Thailand. Saraburi is located on the east atom of the Chao Phraya river valley. The east quotation of the rule is clouded by hopped up plains and plateaus, bout the western part is mostly low flat plains. The province is subdivided into 13 districts which are Muang Saraburi, Nong Saeng, Sao Hai, Ban Mo, Phra Phutthabat, Nong Don, Kaeng Khoi, Muak Lek, Wang Muang, Wihan Daeng, Nong Khae, Don Phut, and Chaloem Phra Kiat. The districts are further subdivided into 111 communes and 965 villages.

 

Saraburi is the lands of historical sites, the sacred footprint, the prettiness of nature, and star food, is located some 108 kilometres from Bangkok. Travelling to and around Saraburi could be unreal in one day. Saraburi is on the one prohibitively crucial river: the Pasak River which flows through Amphoe Muak – lek, Kaengkhoi, Muang Saraburi and Saohai and meets the Chao Phraya River at Ayutthaya. It s length is 105 kilometers. Important canals are Raphiphat, Roeng – rang Wihandaeng, Phrieo etc.

Provincial tree is Lagerstroemia floribunda, provincial flower is the Yellow Cotton Tree.

Festivals and Places to go:

Chao Pho Khao Tok Festival is bonded from the prime allotment of the waxing moon in the fourth ticks of the lunar daily for 4 days.

Hae Phra Khiao Kaeo

Kam Fa Festival is under obligation
on the support time of the waxing moon in the inquiry bit of the lunar calendar.

Pa Sak Boat Racing Festival is to blame on the advance Saturday or Sunday of September.

Phra Phutthabat Homage-paying Festival is in control twice every year: from the top past till the fifteenth hour of the waxing moon in the interrogation moment of the lunar note totaling 15 days; and from the eighth day until the fifteenth day of the waxing moon in the fourth month of the lunar calendar for 8 days.

Songkran Song Nam Sao Nang Takian Wat Sung is under contract annually on April 23.
