Fake beggars in Bangkok

The BMA in Bangkok will try to round up all 131 beggars still in Bangkok (how the hell did they miss more than 1000 others). The BMA says that most beggars are not from Bangkok but from Cambodia and some of them are from villages up north Thailand.

We already told you about this face long time ago that villagers from the north Thailand take turns to come down to Bangkok and beg.

The beggars can make more then 30 000 THB a month begging at the right spots in Bangkok and that for sure more money then you make harvesting rice and working in the factory.

In Cambodia babies born with no legs or arms are bought by the beggar mafia and used to lure money from the tourists, money the babies never will see.

Last year Thailand announced that they will make some beggars licensed but I have not seen a single licensed beggar so far. Since Thailand is a Buddhist country people give money to beggars regardless if they are fake or not, in the same way they do not check if a Thai Monk is real or not. Giving money to poor people will give you better karma.
