Sometimes money is not everything but education is everything. Money is passed down by generations and sometimes people have no education that just does the same thing as their father or mother did. That might be good for their family but it will not lead them anywhere and the only way they can get more money is to step on others doing it. America also prospered when they have slaved and you did not need advanced tool, just bundles of slaves.

A man in Pattaya who is one of the most powerful people in the area and is friend with the government got tricked by a simple phone call. He had within 30 min lost 500 000 to scam gang. With proper education and common knowledge this would never have happened.

A Thai professor Pasuk Phongpaichit wrote an article that the two groups of ruling elites only use the middle persons as their pawns and basically want the same thing, money for them. Even is Thaksin comes back he will just grab what he can same as the other group is doing when they are in power.

According to the professor 10 % of the Thais own more than 100 rai each and 90 % own only less than 1 rai. 20 % of the farming families are landless and another 2 million are struggling with rents and mafia loans.

The bank accounts in Thailand also show the big difference in quality of life less than 1 % of the population holds half off all the money in the Thai bank accounts.

The gap between the rich and poor in Thailand is 13 times higher than all our Asian friends next door and the gap just keep widening.
