I saw a story in the Thai visa forum about son writing about his father being drugged and robbed in Bangkok Thailand. I wrote about the Cambodian girl in Pattaya a few days ago and that she had so many watches and mobile phones in her room. That girl is one of very few girls that actually got caught for drugging tourists and it was not because the Thai police effective police work.
This girl maybe drugged over 100 people from what it looked like in her room and the Thai police had no clue how to catch the clever thief. The Thai Police should have set up a task force to arrest her long time ago since she was not one time thief but one of the biggest I have seen. The man in Bangkok who wrote in Thai visa got a similar treatment he got laught at by the Police. He was told to get a blood sample and go get the CCTV tape then come back with the proof and I thought that was the police work silly me.
This drugging of tourist has been growing ever since the economy worsened and my guess is that until we see someone die from the drugs (in Bangkok, in Pattaya it already happen) the Police will do nothing to stop it. Some of the drug incidents are off course just people getting to drunk the first day of arrival and jet lag and heat others are just insurances scams. We also have a big black number with the guys going with ladyboys and gay boys they probably never report the crimes because of the shame they have to face in the police station.
If you feel ignored in the Police station stand your ground and call your Embassy, go to one of the English Speaking newspapers and off course write to us. Have you been drugged in Thailand? Tell us your story we like to write about it.

A cautionary tale for all.
