Death on the roads in Thailand

We all hear it every year that the Thai government will do a crack down on alcohol and drunk driving in Thailand but they seldom or never enforce any crack down for maybe more than a day. Every year the government of Thailand is saying that they will do better and try to make the death toll less and each year it does not work. Songkran festival is just spinning out of control more and more and nobody is really following the rules.

If you must travel on this holiday of death then do not rush it, do not drink alcohol and take plenty of stops along the way. Try to avoid traveling the days that everyone else is traveling and be safe. Make sure you have proper insurance and driver license because the foreigner is always in fault what even happens in Thailand.

Most of the time it is not your driving that is the problem but other people recklessness and stupidity and you do not want to spend days on your holiday in Thai police station filling out forms do you?
