The AOT has finally awakened and is now announcing a crack down on thieves in the airport. Every day some one loses their luggage or something inside the luggage and the AOT is putting a stop to that now.
The will put up over 100 security cameras and have a team to investigate every theft. Staff leaving the airport will be checked (why did nobody do this before). The company supplying the staff will be responsible for all losses and their contract terminated if a thief steel more then tree times.
This is the latest of all crackdowns, the last crack down was on illegal taxis and they have now moved down to the bottom floor.
When the new BTS start running from the airport they will be standing there and telling you the BTS is closed and you need to take a taxi for 1000 THB.

I fly weekly through Suvarnabhumi Airport and i am disgusted with this airport. I complained to security about the annoying taxi service inside the terminal and they only smiled. AOT charged different fee for the same distance on several occasions. The “legal” taxi meter service most of the time try to avoid using the meter.
The best taxi service for me is still at the departure level. This poor taxi drivers suffer. Immigration service can be rather rude and unfriendly. When complaining to their supervisor they say… “we are not in the service industry, we are checking on people”! and indirectly indicating that they can say and do whatever they want. When asking that they professional requires them to be rude and unfriendly there is silence…
