Ang Thong is one of the central provinces of Thailand. Ang Thong was historically confessed as Wiset Chai Chan, located on the Noi River. Ang Thong is a blue river flat, crossed by the Chao Phraya and the Noi River. It has neither mountains nor forests, but consists of chiefly agricultural land. The two rivers perspicacious with multifarious canals make sure enough water for rice farming. The province is subdivided into 7 districts which are Amphoe Mueang Ang Thong, Amphoe Wiset Chai Chan, Amphoe Sawaeng Ha, Amphoe Pa Mok, Amphoe Pho Thong, Amphoe Chaiyo, and Amphoe Samko. The districts are further subdivided into 81 communes and 513 villages.
