American die in bus crash in Thailand

More then 2000 people have been injured during and over 200 killed during this deadly Songkran. Today it took the life of an American namely Andrew Michel Bludigis.

I was one of the buses last night driving from Bangkok and I can tell you sometimes it makes me scared how fast they drive. Two times one the similar route last week I had two buses stop on its way.

One of the busses had something wrong with the wheel and it stopped several time to fix it with WIRE the bus driver found on the side of the road. Only my girlfriend asked what he was doing and only because I pushed her to find out what was the problem. The other Thais did not even say a word and you should not wait for them to do anything. They will maybe start go off the buss if the bus starts to burn.

The second time the air condition system was totally broke down but I bet my next meal of somtan that they just drove back to back anyway with no air-condition.

If you think the bus have a problem or you think the driver is a bit heavy on the gas then tell him or tell the girl working in the bus. They might look at you funny for the moment but rather that then you end up on the side of the road.

I can also make you feel safer that only 7 % of the driver have license and 48 % have learned how to drive buss by themselves.
