About 80 Swedish people die every year in Thailand, if we not count the Tsunami when 542 Swedish people dies mostly in Kho Lak and Phuket.
Many people from Sweden live in places like Pattaya and Phuket and dies from natural things like old age or heart attack. But many also die from crimes like the girl in Phuket was raped last month.
Another big factor is the many car and motorbike accident when the Swedish driver, drive on the wrong side and maybe are a bit drunk.
Then we also have the tragic accidents like the one yesterday when a girl died while swimming outside Ko Lanta and died from stings of a Jellyfish.
