Today over 80 000 red shirts is planning to take on the streets of Bangkok. If they managed to do it they really beat the PAD. With a 80 000 strong army of red shirts they can basically occupy any airport or house they want and there is nothing the police or the military can do about it. That is if they not take to violence and they do not want to do that. That might lead to another coup.
The problem is Thailand has a funny way of dealing with demonstrators, we can see very violent clashes in countries like Sweden and England but most of the time the police using control force and nobody dies. But in Thailand as soon as somebody starts using force it get totally out of hand.
Thailand needs to set fair rules for demonstrators and the police need the mandate and power to break them up.
Yesterday it was 5000 police against two pick up truck of red shirts and they still managed to damage the car of the PM of Thailand. Maybe 100 active police is better then 5000 none active police officers?
